Drive technology for robotics and automation

Melior Motion's precision gearboxes are suitable for robotics and automation solutions in packaging and medical technology, machine tools and welding applications, for example. They can be seen at Schaeffler, as the company has been part of the Schaeffler Group since February.

The PSC series from Melior Motion

According to Melior Motion, the key features of the PSC series are its high precision, low noise level and minimal backlash for life. According to the company, a patented spring mechanism ensures that the accuracy is maintained for at least 20,000 hours of operation. Other features include a conical-toothed planetary stage and a helical-toothed input stage. Both together ensure quiet and low-vibration operation. Compared to cycloidal gears, the drive solutions are up to ten times more accurate with a backlash of ≤0.1 angular minute and a lost motion of ≤0.6 angular minute.
