Using the Heidenhain EnDat 3 protocol, the hybrid cable from Stöber Antriebstechnik can connect motors and drive controllers at a distance of up to 100 m. Users receive a complete system consisting of synchronous servo motor, cable and matching drive controller.

Endat 3 supports the structural design of the 'SC6' and 'SI6' drive controllers. Both drive controllers have the same transceiver chip as the EnDat 3 encoder. The firmware has also been adapted accordingly. The new single-cable solution is designed for the synchronous servomotors of the 'EZ' and 'EZS' series, which can be combined with all Stöber gearboxes in direct mounting. The system consisting of motor, cable and drive controller has an electronic nameplate that enables automatic system installation. During commissioning, each motor automatically sends its own electronically and mechanically relevant data to the associated drive controllers via plug-and-play.
