Maccon
Compact coaxial design
Maccon launches the Z-Theta actuator, designed for easy integration into OEM systems and offering linear and rotary point-to-point motion in a compact housing.
The actuator is aimed at applications in laboratory automation, semiconductor technology and general automation. It is based on the patented 'ScrewRail' and is complemented by the direct integration of a rotary motor to drive the theta movement. This design is then coupled with a second stepper motor to control the linear movement of the slide via a lead screw.
Optional encoders are available for both the linear and rotary axes, allowing either position confirmation or full stepper servo control of the device. The actuators are manufactured by Haydon-Kerk-Pittmann from the USA. Maccon is the sales partner for German-speaking countries.
