Barbara Frei appointed 'Zone President DACH
Since July 1, 2017, Dr. Barbara Frei (47), Managing Director of French automation technology provider Schneider Electric, has been responsible for the newly created DACH region within the company.
The company sees the continued strong upswing in these markets as the reason for the organizational merger of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. According to Schneider Electric, the new DACH region will provide a stronger basis for sustainable and profitable growth and further expansion of market share. In her new position as 'Zone President DACH', Barbara Frei will bundle joint and cross-border development and sales resources in order to drive forward transformations such as Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in an even more focused manner.
Schneider Electric specializes in energy management and automation. In the 2016 financial year, the company generated sales of around 24.7 billion euros. Schneider Electric employs over 144,000 people in more than 100 countries.
