Final figures for SPS IPC Drives 2017
"Highlight at the end of the year"
The 28th edition of SPS IPC Drives was "the biggest SPS IPC Drives of all time", is how trade fair organizer Mesago sums up the automation trade fair that ended on 30 November. With over 70,000 trade visitors, the trade fair even took the cake from last year.
This year's SPS IPC Drives has achieved record results for all key parameters: 1675 exhibitors on 130,000 square meters of exhibition space in 16 halls and 70,264 trade visitors! According to Mesago, this year's event outperformed both previous years - 63,291 visitors came to Nuremberg in 2016. In 2015, the figure was 64,386.
First exhibitor statements on SPS IPC Drives 2017:
Markus Sandhöfner from B&R: "This trade fair offers both the opportunity to come together in a small space and to discuss in detail requirements for innovations that are close to our customers' hearts and to define important steps for the coming months."
Erich M. Barnstedt from Microsoft praises the networking opportunities: "At SPS IPC Drives, we receive impetus and feedback from many sides and use the opportunity to network with the industry."
For Thomas Höfling from Sick, SPS IPC Drives is "an absolute highlight of the year. As technical and cold as automation can be on the one hand, you can experience it up close and personal at SPS when you talk to customers. In the end, people buy from people."
Heinz Eisenbeiss from Siemens emphasizes that, despite its enormous development, SPS IPC Drives has "always remained true to its theme": "This is where we meet the users or potential users of our products. Our product managers have the opportunity to discuss with users at the trade fair. In this way, the customer receives a great deal of information that he might otherwise have to search for a long time. On the other hand, the Product Manager finds out exactly what is important to the customer - a win-win relationship."
And Gunther Koschnik from the ZVEI Automation Association summarizes: "If you want to see the latest innovations, you can get a good overview here in a short space of time."
In 2018, SPS IPC Drives will take place from November 27 to 29.
