Production has the most open jobs
The big data job platform Jobfeed analyzed 2.28 million job vacancies in the third quarter. The result: the number of vacancies increased by 5.2% compared to 2016 - especially in production.
In the third quarter of 2017, the number of jobs advertised rose by 5.2%, according to an analysis by Jobfeed. According to the analysis, a total of 3.9 million job advertisements were published online on job boards and company career pages. 1.65 million of these were duplicates, which Jobfeed identified and summarized.

Of these 2.28 million duplicate-free job advertisements, over 1 million come from direct employers, with most advertisements coming from large companies with more than 5,000 employees (20.7%), followed by medium-sized companies with 50-199 employees (18.1%).
Adjusted for job advertisements for internships, freelance work, part-time jobs, voluntary work and volunteering, Jobfeed comes to the following conclusion for the third quarter of 2017:
- The number of job ads increased by 5.2%.
- Daimler, Bertrandt, Deutsche Bahn and Bosch posted the most.
- Most jobs can be found in production.
- North Rhine-Westphalia gained 1.6% market share of jobs published online per federal state, overtaking Bavaria for the first time.
