The Munich area has received the most big data project inquiries in the last twelve months. However, freelancers do not achieve the highest hourly rate there. This is shown by a recent analysis by the personnel service provider Gulp.

With an hourly rate of 92.60 euros, big data freelancers in zip code region 9 (northern Bavaria and parts of Thuringia) earn the most, followed by eastern Westphalia (zip code region 3) and the Munich region (zip code region 8). The Frankfurt region - in 2nd place for project inquiries - is only in 7th place for hourly rates at EUR 83.09.
