The Munich area has received the most big data project inquiries in the last twelve months. However, freelancers do not achieve the highest hourly rate there. This is shown by a recent analysis by the personnel service provider Gulp.

Zip code area 8 or the greater Munich, Ingolstadt and Augsburg area is at the forefront of the regional distribution of big data projects. Almost a quarter of all project offers processed via the personnel service provider Gulp were requested for big data projects there. Another IT stronghold - the region around Frankfurt am Main (zip code area 6) - follows in second place in the ranking, with zip code area 2 and the greater Hamburg area taking third place.
