SICK at SPS 2025: Partner for intelligent automation

Further information on SICK at www.sick.com

SICK will be presenting itself at SPS 2025 (25-27 November, Nuremberg, Hall 7A, Stand 340) as a holistic partner for automation solutions with suitable, future-proof cybersecurity and service offerings.

The annual SPS trade fair is one of the most important international trade fairs and showcases the entire spectrum of smart and digital automation - from sensors to intelligent solutions. . "For us as an automation partner who thinks holistically about our customers' respective industrial world, SPS is the right platform to present our strength in intelligent automation and our cross-industry, innovative solution expertise to a broad specialist audience," says Tobias Güttler, Head of Marketing & Technology Competence Center at SICK Vertriebs-GmbH in Düsseldorf. "Visitors to our stand will be able to quickly and easily find their way around our worlds of experience according to their requirements and obtain advice in an appealing atmosphere."

Experience "Camera-based quality control"

With the SICK NOVA vision platform, SICK demonstrates efficient quality control for consumer-related industries such as food and packaging technology. The platform supports 2D and 3D vision sensors (InspectorP, Visionary, picoCam2, midiCam2 with SIM or Ruler) and enables sophisticated inspection tasks without specialist knowledge thanks to intuitive UX design and AI-supported deep learning. This makes it easy to implement presence checks and quality inspections.

Industrial Robotics" world of experience

The PLB robot guidance system flexibly locates 3D parts for automated bin-picking processes. With the help of 3D cameras, algorithms and AI, robots reliably identify chaotically arranged parts - whether in bins or on pallets. The pre-calibrated camera systems can be integrated into robot control systems in just a few minutes. Thanks to deep learning, they adapt flexibly to changing applications. The software interface is easy to configure and increases efficiency and reliability in robotics.

Experience "Automation of autonomous vehicles"

With VISIONARY AI Assist, SICK presents an intelligent driver assistance system for collision avoidance and area monitoring. The combination of the Visionary-B Two 3D snapshot camera and AI Assist software precisely recognizes the surroundings and warns of critical situations. The solution is robustly designed for outdoor use and specifically detects people to enable prioritized warnings. As an all-in-one system, data processing and AI are fully integrated and configurable via a web browser.

World of experience "Material tracking in the flow of goods"

Detailed positions and movements of materials enable transparency and control of internal supply chains. SICK offers a comprehensive portfolio of identification and localization solutions for this purpose - from incoming goods to warehousing and order picking to shipping. The Ident Gate system recognizes palletized goods using barcodes, 2D codes, RFID or hybrid tags and integrates seamlessly into ERP systems. The ALDIS tracking system locates forklift transports on factory premises precisely and cost-effectively. Intelligent sensors automatically detect loading and unloading processes. UWB and GPS technologies enable global tracking right up to the point of use.

Experience world "Scalable digital solutions"

SICK supports companies with a scalable IIoT platform that combines efficient engineering, OT-IT integration and data-based optimization. It enables end-to-end digitalization along the entire life cycle, reduces complexity and can be expanded on a modular basis. Engineering tools facilitate design, commissioning and maintenance. Data streams from various sources are recorded, analysed and visualized in order to optimize machine availability and material flows, for example.

With the OD200, SICK is also presenting a compact detection and distance sensor that sets new standards for measurement stability on difficult surfaces. A newly developed measuring core and an optimized optical system ensure high precision and repeatability - comparable to high-end devices. The OD200 is suitable for a wide range of applications in industries such as automotive, consumer goods, electronics and mechanical engineering.
