ipf electronic at the SPS 2023

Inka Krischke,

Programmable flow sensor

With the 'SS500020' in protection class IP67, ipf electronic presents a thermal flow sensor with M12 connector for measuring the flow rate and temperature (0 to +80 °C) of water-based media in pipes.

Due to the parameterizable pipe diameter (15 mm to 250 mm) and the applied flow rate, the calculated value is visualized in l/min, m³/h, m/s or °C in the 3-digit display, which can be rotated by 180°. The sensor from ipf electronic, which is pressure-resistant up to a maximum of 60 bar, offers a response time of <1 s and is insensitive to temperature fluctuations. To monitor the flow status and temperature, the sensor integrates either two digital outputs (PNP/NPN-NO/NC + pulse) or an analog output (4 to 20 mA), which can be individually programmed. The device also has a teach-in input, for example to carry out a quick calibration in multi-substance operation. The sensor can also be parameterized via IO-Link. There are three different adapters with different process connections.
