Ultrasonic sensor with IO-Link interface

© Microsonic

The current generation of 'ucs' sensors from Microsonic is now equipped with two push-pull switching outputs. They have an IO-Link interface in version 1.1.2 and Smart Sensor Profile.

Using IO-Link, identification, status and diagnostic values can be transmitted at the same time as the measured distance values. Limit values or switching points can be easily set via IO-Link. Scanning ranges of 250 mm and 350 mm are available. The ultrasonic sensors from Microsonic detect all types of objects without contact, whether they are solid, liquid, powdery or transparent. They are housed in a robust metal housing and are mechanically compatible with the supplier's industry standard opto-sensors. This makes it easier to switch to ultrasonic sensors for critical applications in harsh environments, such as in the wood processing industry or in conveyor technology. The housing is equipped with a rotatable connector plug to allow the sensor to be mounted flexibly even in confined installation spaces.
