Sensor+Test 2016
Measurement technology in the cloud
Around 580 exhibitors are expected at Sensor+Test in Nuremberg. They will be providing information about the latest developments in sensor, measurement and testing technology at their exhibition stands, at the specialist congress and in the action program. This year's special theme is 'Measurement technology in the cloud'.
The topic is intended to invite visitors to discuss solutions and concepts for the transmission, processing, analysis and security of measurement data in the global network - in addition to discussions at the trade fair stands, for example at the special forum in Hall 5, where visitors can get a targeted overview of products and developments on the special topic. On the first day of the trade fair, the lecture forum in Hall 5 will also focus on measurement technology in the cloud. In keeping with the special theme, an international 'Internet of Things Conference' will also take place on the third day of the trade fair. As far as the specialist congresses are concerned, two will be held parallel to the trade fair in 2016:
- The GMA/ITG Symposium 'Sensors and Measurement Systems' is jointly sponsored by the VDI/VDE Society for Measurement and Automation Technology (GMA) and the Information Technology Society in the VDE (ITG) and is being organized by the GMA this year.
- For the second time, the 'European Telemetry and Test Conference - etc2016' will take place alongside Sensor+Test. etc2016, which is organized by the European Society of Telemetry in cooperation with Sensor+Test, is a platform for telemetry, telecontrol, test instrumentation and data processing, which also includes the '3rd Advanced In-Flight Measurement Techniques Symposium AIM2016' and the '27th Symposium of the Society of Flight Test Engineers SFTE - European Chapter'.
All trade fair visitors have free access to the specialist forums in Halls 1 and 5. Exhibitors will present their products and solutions as well as their possible applications in short presentations. As part of the 'Innovative Testing' forum on the second day of the trade fair, experts from industry and research will also be presenting sensor technologies and measurement methods of the future. Measurement and testing technology specifically for the automotive sector can be experienced live on the test track, in keeping with tradition.
