VDMAProduction in mechanical engineering stagnates
VDMA Vice President Carl Martin Welcker confirmed his association's forecast that the mechanical engineering industry in Germany is only expecting real production to stagnate this year - as was the case last year.

Last year, the United States overtook the People's Republic of China as the largest single market for German mechanical engineering exports (up 11.2% to EUR 16.8 billion). The VDMA expects the USA to maintain this position in the country rankings this year. For China, on the other hand, they expect another slight decline in exports.
