Current productsNews from sensor technology
What would the smart factory of today and tomorrow be without sensors? Sensors are indispensable as the basis of every industrial production system. Computer&AUTOMATION has summarized current trends in a picture gallery.

On the infrared temperature sensor from ifm's TW21 series, both the analog output with 4 to 20 mA and the switching output are freely programmable via IO-Link or directly. The emissivity of the measurement object can also be set via IO-Link or on the sensor. The devices are also equipped with a pilot light for precise alignment and control of the measuring field. The sensor is particularly suitable for measuring the temperature of objects that are particularly hot or difficult to access, for example in the steel, plastics or glass industries. The green light color of the pilot light is clearly visible even on glowing surfaces. The sensor also has a simulation function that can be triggered directly on the sensor or via an external control signal. The integrated IO-Link communication interface enables dynamic adaptation of the parameters to the application via the control room. On-site adjustment is not necessary, but is also possible using the display and buttons.
