Together with the sales of the two companies integrated during the past financial year, iss innovative software services and Matrix Vision, the sensor and automation specialist Balluff grew by 21.4% from EUR 378 million in 2016 to EUR 459 million. Without the two companies, the increase would have been 16%.

The first quarter of 2018 also shows growth of around 9%, so the continued positive economic development and the current order situation make Balluff optimistic for the future: "It is already clear that we will exceed our sales target of EUR 500 million formulated for 2019 as planned - the only question is when exactly," said Managing Director Katrin Stegmaier-Hermle at the presentation of the balance sheet figures at a press conference on April 18.

Managing Director Michel Unger commented on the further goals: "We have doubled Group turnover in the past seven years and we are aiming to double it again in the next five to seven years." To achieve this, the organization must also continue to develop. Unger presented the future direction of the company with a clear focus on the requirements of the most important key industries: The Balluff Group is now organized into seven business units. Three of them combine all solutions for the main industries Mobility, Packaging, Food & Beverage and Machine & Plant Engineering in one organizational unit. In addition, there are four further divisions: Marketing & Sales, Technology, Supply Chain and Services, Finance & Quality. Each of the seven divisions has its own head, who together form the extended management team.

The Balluff Group employs 3600 people worldwide - around 10% more than in the previous year. 1300 of these employees work in Germany.
