Growth in sales, employment and profit

Endress+Hauser remains on course for growth: the Group increased its net sales by almost 8% to over 2.6 billion euros in 2019. The Swiss provider of measurement and automation technology created 400 new jobs worldwide.

"We have grown across all business areas, sectors and regions," says Matthias Altendorf, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group. Strong impetus came from Asia. Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East developed positively, but at a much slower pace.

Incoming orders increased more strongly than sales in 2019, meaning that the Group started 2020 with a significantly higher order backlog. The return on sales was maintained at the previous year's level and earnings before taxes were "satisfactory".

Endress+Hauser anticipates a slower development in 2020 and expects sales growth in the mid-single-digit percentage range.

The family-owned company based in Reinach/Switzerland had more than 14,300 employees at the end of the year.
