As announced some time ago, Dr. h. c. Klaus Endress will step down as Chairman of the Board of Directors. His successor will be the current CEO Matthias Altendorf. The new head of the Group will be Dr. Peter Selders, who currently heads the competence center for level and pressure measurement technology. Steven Endress, previously Managing Director of Endress+Hauser UK, will succeed him as the family's second representative on the Board of Directors.

Klaus Endress (born in 1948) has shaped the development of Endress+Hauser for almost 45 years. He joined the company founded by his father in 1979 and took over the management of the Group from him in 1995. In 2014, he handed over operational responsibility to Matthias Altendorf and became Chairman of the Board of Directors. Altendorf is now to become the new Chairman of the Board of Directors on January 1, 2024.

He will be succeeded as CEO by Dr. Peter Selders. The doctor of physics is 53 years old, has worked at Endress+Hauser since 2004 and has headed the competence center for level and pressure measurement technology based in Maulburg since 2019.

"Of course, the family will remain closely connected to the company," emphasizes Klaus Endress. As before, it will be represented by two members on the Board of Directors. Steven Endress will therefore join as the second representative alongside Sandra Genge on January 1, 2024. The 44-year-old grandson of the company founder has worked at Endress+Hauser since 2012 and has been Managing Director in the UK since 2016.

Even though Klaus Endress will no longer have an active role at Endress+Hauser in the future, he will remain Chairman of the Family Council, which discusses all important issues relating to the relationship between the family and the company. For years, a family charter has governed the interaction between the shareholders and their relationship with the company.

Dr. Selders will be succeeded at the helm of the competence center for level and pressure measurement technology by Dr. Dirk Mörmann (49), previously Head of Technology and member of the Executive Board. Iain Cropper (51) will take over the management of Endress+Hauser UK from May 1, 2023. As a member of the Executive Board, he is currently responsible for the operational business there.
