Andreas Schneider becomes new CEO

Andreas Schneider takes over the management of EnOcean, a developer and provider of battery-free wireless technology for use in building and industrial automation, among other things.

EnOcean has appointed Andreas Schneider, co-founder and sales director of EnOcean, as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on January 1, 2017. In this position, Schneider will continue to expand the company's business in line with its long-term growth strategy in self-powered IoT for the core markets of building automation, smart home, LED lighting control and industrial automation. Schneider takes over the position from Dr. Wald Siskens, who has left the company to take on a new challenge at Apple.

As co-founder and CMO of EnOcean since 2001, Andreas Schneider was responsible for the market positioning and sales strategies of the self-powered wireless technology.
