Safety relay modules for safety applications up to SIL 2

Lütze Transportation is launching five new safety relay modules with forcibly guided contacts in accordance with IEC 61810-3 (application type A). The safety relays are available for all standard on-board voltages from 24 V (DC) to 110 V (DC).

The safety relays from Lütze Transportation, each with two NC and four NO contacts (250 V/ 6 A), are suitable for switching small to medium loads in safety circuits. They can be used for safety applications up to SIL 2, taking into account defined Safety Application Conditions (SAC). The safety relays are therefore particularly suitable for expanding contacts and increasing the switching capacity in safety-related circuits. They also provide galvanic isolation to protect against EMC interference. Typical areas of use are safety-critical applications in railroad technology. These include door control systems as well as brake and train control systems. In addition, the relays are also used in fully automatic, driverless trains and in safety driving circuits. The safety relays offer an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +70°C and can be easily mounted on the TS35 top-hat rail. The relays comply with all relevant railroad standards, including EN 50155, EN 50121-3-2, EN 50124-1, EN 61373, the fire protection standard EN 45545-2 and the EMC 06 regulation of the German Federal Railway Authority.
