Rockwell Automation at the SPS 2024

Inka Krischke,

Security portfolio expanded

Rockwell Automation is expanding its portfolio of safety technologies with the introduction of 'Logix SIS', a Safety Instrumented System (SIS).

The introduction of Logix SIS provides an integrated safety solution with SIL 2 and SIL 3 certification for improved process and hybrid safety. The certification was carried out independently by TÜV Rheinland. According to Rockwell Automation, the system offers all the components of a safety-related system, including process logic solvers and I/O functions. The system is designed to provide high availability and an integrated user experience with the latest '1756' controller, 'Flex 5000' I/O platform and 'Studio 5000 Logix Designer' application.
