Rockwell Automation acquires Avnet Data Security
Rockwell Automation has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Israeli cybersecurity provider Avnet Data Security, LTD. The planned investment expands Rockwell's global IT/OT cybersecurity services offering.
With over 20 years of cybersecurity experience and a comprehensive range of IT/OT cybersecurity services, Avnet Data Security offers its customers services such as risk assessments, penetration testing, network and security solutions, and training on the merging of IT and OT from a cybersecurity perspective. 'With Avnet's broad range of services, training, research and managed services, we continue to develop our portfolio in this rapidly evolving market,' explains Frank Kulaszewicz, Senior Vice President Control Products & Solutions at Rockwell Automation.
'Cybersecurity is one of the fastest growing areas of Rockwell Automation's services and business. Due to the digitalization within the manufacturing industry and the increased connectivity within plants, traditional physical security strategies are no longer sufficient to ensure production operations,' Kulaszewicz continues.
