New Board of Directors in the Security Association
Dirk Dingfelder (D+H Mechatronic) is the new Chairman of the Board of the ZVEI Safety Association. He succeeds Uwe Bartmann (Siemens), who was Chairman for many years and no longer stood as a candidate.
Thomas Quante(Bosch Security Systems) and Alexander Yeomans(Siemens) were also elected as deputies at the general meeting. Other board members are Dr. Sebastian Festag(Hekatron Technik), Wolfgang Pein (TOA Electronics Europe) and Frank Wienböker (Kingspan Light + Air STG-Beikirch).
The board will focus on the strategic direction of the trade association. "The German security technology industry has exciting years ahead of it. Networking and digitalization are both a challenge and an opportunity," says Dingfelder. "In order for the market for security technology to continue to grow steadily, the topic of cyber security of the products, systems and services used in the value creation networks must be given greater focus. Smart homes and smart buildings are becoming a reality. Here, cyber security is of central importance alongside convenience, energy efficiency and security. Users must be able to rely on digital technologies being secure and trustworthy. This is the only way new services and business models can emerge that can hold their own on the market."
