New ASi-5 Safety Gateways
With the new ASi-5 Safety Gateways from Bihl+Wiedemann, ASi-5 Safety can be easily integrated into existing applications - for example, if many safe and non-safe signals are to be used under just one address or if IO-Link safety devices are to be integrated.
The ASi-5/ASi-3 fieldbus gateways with integrated ASi-5/ASi-3 safety monitor and OPC UA server are currently available in different versions for Profinet, Ethernet/IP and ModbusTCP, some with safe fieldbus and local I/Os. The gateways can monitor and control safety functions on up to two ASi circuits independently of each other and enable ASi-5 and ASi-3 applications on the same line. Various methods can be used for configuration and diagnostics: the gateway display and the device LEDs, the Bihl+Wiedemann Software Suite, the integrated web server or the integrated OPC UA server. All data from the project planning can be stored in the gateway on the 16 Gbyte chip card and read out again at a later time: Safety and hardware configuration, parameter settings and user comments are therefore always available on site in the field.
