Navigate safely and autonomously
Pilz offers manufacturers a safety solution in accordance with ISO 3691-4 for freely navigating mobile platforms.
The solution consists of the safe small controller 'PNOZmulti 2' from Pilz with new functionalities for synchronization monitoring and control of the safety laser scanners 'PSENscan', which provide area monitoring. In addition, the industrial firewall 'SecurityBridge' offers protection against unauthorized access from outside. The function blocks for synchronization monitoring in the 'PNOZmulti Configurator' software tool of the safe small controller can be used to reliably monitor the synchronous operation of the axes of an AMR. The program function compares the encoder values of the two axes with each other, allowing conclusions to be drawn about the direction of movement of the mobile platform. This information can be used to dynamically implement the safe zone switching required by the standard in the PSENscan safety laser scanner. This is made possible by a 'PSENscan' function module: with the 'zone selection function', up to 70 protective fields can be switched over dynamically.
