Euchner is continuously developing practical products that fit perfectly into the IoT world. The company will be showcasing its latest smart safety solutions at Motek. These include the new CKS2 safe key system for machines and systems, innovations relating to the 'MGB2 Modular' such as the new bus module for connection with EtherCAT P and the new compact 'CTS' safety switch among the guard locking devices.

With the 'CKS2', Euchner offers a safe key system that can be used for many applications with simple integration into the overall control system. By selecting the RFID key, the user decides during initial commissioning whether the device is to be used for simple stopping and starting of machines and processes, as an electronic authorization system for several operators or as a key transfer system.

Reconfiguration possible at any time

Configuration takes place when the key is first learned. Reconfiguration to a different function is possible at any time. The use of highly coded transponder-based keys guarantees a very high level of security. Connection to IO-Link is possible with the aid of Euchner gateways, allowing extensive diagnostic and communication functions to be provided. The CKS2 is also available as a sub-module for the MGB2 Modular.

Euchner will also be showcasing the latest innovations for the MGB2 Modular safety gate protection system. These include the aforementioned sub-module for the integration of the CKS2 safe key system and a new bus module for the safe EtherCAT P with FSoE. The extensive diagnostic functions in the form of EtherCAT messages and the integrated web server provide a quick and detailed overview of the status of the device. Thanks to the simple parameterization, replacing the module in the event of servicing is a simple matter and can be carried out in just a few minutes.
