In the age of Industry 4.0, the cloud and big data, the topic of IT security is becoming increasingly important. Computer&AUTOMATION has summarized product innovations from the field of security in a series of images.
The security manufacturer Endian presents the latest generation of its Unified Threat Management (UTM) solutions Endian Macro 1000 and Endian Macro 2500 for large networks. The integration of a new generation of processors has increased the performance of the Macro 1000 by 35% (firewall throughput of 25 GBit/s) and that of the Macro 2500 by 61% (firewall throughput of 40 GBit/s). Companies also benefit from lower energy requirements: the latest processor technology reduces these by 30% for both devices. Additional Ethernet ports for fiber optic connectivity provide more flexibility: The new Macro 1000 is equipped with 10 Ethernet ports, the Macro 2500 with 18 Ethernet ports. An intuitive, web-based and multilingual interface reduces the administration effort. The Endian Network is available for centralized management and real-time updates. This management tool enables secure remote access, monitoring, updates and upgrades of all Endian products on the network from a single administration point. The integrated hotspot provides secure WiFi and supports external end devices. It is possible to offer a secure guest network via the hotspot. Application management can be used, for example, to control the use of social media within the company network so that sufficient bandwidth is available for business purposes. Both UTMs are available immediately and can be purchased in Germany via the distributor Conactive.
