Wibu-Systems presents the CodeMeter Cloud solution for licensing in the cloud, which is characterized by a high level of security, maximum scalability, high performance, interoperability and flexibility. As cloud services are increasingly used, it is to be expected that industrial companies will deal with licensing in the cloud in the future. CodeMeter Cloud includes access to a highly secure cloud server from Wibu-Systems. Manufacturers can generate and deliver licenses for their software, which has been encrypted with the CodeMeter Protection Suite tools, via CodeMeter License Central. This means that all connectors that link ERP, CRM and e-commerce systems with CodeMeter License Central are also available for CodeMeter Cloud and ensure efficient business process integration of license processing at the manufacturer. The licenses are stored in a CmCloud container on the CodeMeter Cloud server. Users can access this container from anywhere. The CmCloudContainers are protected by secure access data (credentials) stored on the local computer. These credentials are checked using cryptographic keys stored in the cloud to verify the validity of the license. Manufacturers can assign licenses to CmCloud containers via a web application or integrate this process into their own workflow and distribute and manage the access data with the CodeMeter Cloud Manager. Licenses can be updated, extended or deleted in the cloud at any time. The user then sees the current license in the cloud. Each CodeMeter cloud server contains three levels: Load balancing distributes the license queries and is flexibly scalable. The services handle the actual license management and the creation and assignment of cryptographic keys. The persistence level ensures high-performance data integrity and data storage for multiple users.
