Together with companies from the energy and water industries, Welotec has developed a modular system for ISMS-compliant data connection (ISMS = Information Security System) of unmanned distributed sites. In addition to the secure routers of the 'TK800' series, the security suite includes both a router management system (DS800 Deployment Server) and a solution for establishing secure connections via VPN (Ignis Firewall and VPN Concentrator). The TK800 routers guarantee high security and availability when accessing systems or devices. Software updates and new configurations of the routers can be implemented centrally via the respective data connection using the 'DS800 Deployment Server'. The solution not only enables the management of the devices themselves, but also the management of the router configuration, including automatic validation. Firmware updates can also be carried out easily. Another module in the provider's modular security system is the 'Ignis Firewall and VPN Concentrator': The integrated firewall is used to secure corporate, application or router networks and can also be used as a VPN remote station for routers in the field. The fail-safe solution supports stateful packet inspection, IPsec IKEv2 and OpenVPN management with Next Generation Encryption. It reliably fends off attackers (intrusion detection), while at the same time providing the appropriate bandwidth for the actual application (traffic shaper).
