Dr. Martin Schefter joins Bartec
Dr. Martin U. Schefter is leaving First Sensor to become the new CEO of the Bartec Group. His predecessor will resume his mandate as a member of the Supervisory Board.
Dr. Schefter comes from First Sensor, where he was CEO until 2016. He studied and completed his doctorate in electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin from 1982 to 1989. Until December 2011, Dr. Schefter was Managing Director of Eaton Industries Holding. There he integrated the Industrial Control Devices business unit of Moeller GmbH into EATON Holding and built up the Industrial Automation business unit.
Dr. Martin Schefter's predecessor Stephan Morgan had been managing the explosion protection company Bartec as interim managing director since March of this year. Morgan, partner of the majority shareholder Charterhouse Capital Partners, will resume his mandate as a member of the Supervisory Board.
