In the 'Connection Zone' on stand 200 in hall 7, Bihl+Wiedemann will be demonstrating how users can use ASi-5, ASi-3 and IO-Link (Safety) to make automation processes flexible, future-proof and cost-efficient.
What motivated you to take part in the SPS this year? What distinguishes the SPS from other automation trade fairs worldwide?
As Germany's leading trade fair for automation, SPS in Nuremberg is the most important trade fair of the year for Bihl+Wiedemann. This is where we meet many of our customers and partners - and of course anyone who is interested in our solutions - in person. At no other trade fair are so many interesting discussions held in three days and nowhere else is the world of automation presented in such breadth, so of course our solutions and innovations must not be missing.
What trends in automation technology do you currently see and how are these reflected in your trade fair presence?
One trend we are observing today is the topic of 'costs' and the associated search for potential savings in the implementation of automation solutions, which is becoming increasingly important. In our 'Connection Zone' on the exhibition stand, we will therefore be showing our visitors specific solutions with which they can significantly reduce their costs at the lowest level of automation.
What solutions in the field of "Industrial AI" are you presenting or what strategy are you pursuing in the field of "Industrial AI"?
For us as a provider of automation solutions for the field level, it is important that users can easily and efficiently access all the data they need from the machine - where they need it. Our edge gateways allow them to direct the data in two directions: all control-relevant information and parameters into the OT network and all other information - such as that required for diagnostics and tracking, which would only place an unnecessary load on the control system - into the IT network.
How do visitors actually benefit from a visit to your stand? Are there any special offers, demos or interactive experiences?
In our 'Connection Zone', we work with visitors to find out what potential there is in their systems or applications to make them even more productive, sustainable, future-proof and cost-efficient. For example, we will show you how you can save almost 70% in costs and a lot of time on wiring alone, or how IO-Link applications can be implemented up to 50% more cost-effectively than with other fieldbus solutions.
If you could only name one trade fair highlight this year, what would it be and why this one in particular?
Our trade fair highlight is our solutions with ASi-5 and ASi-3, which not only enable the simple, flexible, future-proof and cost-effective implementation of safety and standard applications for a wide range of industries, but also the integration of IO-Link and IO-Link Safety.
