With active pull-down

With the Kontec KSX-C2 5-axis clamp, Schunk says it is giving new impetus to high-precision 6-sided machining. The upwardly tapered outer contour improves accessibility with standard tools.

According to Schunk, the clamping system achieves excellent results in terms of plane parallelism and squareness thanks to its active pull-down. Thanks to a tool-free quick jaw change system, reversible jaws to increase the clamping range and a basic clamping stroke of 130 mm, the clamp can be quickly and precisely converted to a new range of parts. A wide range of quick-change jaws is available for this purpose. The clamping range can also be extended using a standardized drawbar extension. The clamping forces can be infinitely adjusted using a torque wrench.

A maximum of 40 kN with a torque of 120 Nm is possible. The long guide system and the arrangement of the clamping mechanism ensure rigid, dimensionally stable clamping. During machining, integrated elastomer damping absorbs the vibrations that occur. The maintenance-free clamping system is available in four base body lengths (330 mm, 430 mm, 500 mm, 630 mm, 800 mm) and two heights (175 mm, 214 mm).
