Record sales for German robotics and automation

The German robotics and automation industry posted record sales of over 12 billion euros in 2015 - an increase of 7% compared to the previous year. The outlook for 2016 is more subdued.

Between 2010 and 2015, the number of robots in the German automotive industry increased by 17%.

Broken down by region, the largest share of sales in 2015 was in the German domestic market at 45%. The most important single foreign market is China with an 11% share of sales. The image gallery below provides an overview of the most important figures:
