Potential of AI in life-threatening environments

Whether for rescue missions or deep-sea inspections: Smart robots that can find their way around unfamiliar terrain could support humans in these dangerous tasks in the future. The 'Learning Systems Platform' uses two scenarios to demonstrate the potential and benefits of AI.

At the presentation of their report, the researchers from the 'Plattform Lernende Systeme' (Learning Systems Platform) brought the processes of a dismantling project in a nuclear power plant to life virtually - with the help of a VR headset and a mobile robot.
