Messe München, the organizer of drinktec, is expecting a record number of around 1600 exhibitors this year. The leading trade fair for the beverage and liquid food industry, which takes place every four years, covers the entire process chain: from production, filling and packaging to the marketing of beverages and liquid food - including raw materials, beverage ingredients and logistics solutions. In detail, the trade fair comprises the exhibition areas of process technology, containers/packaging materials, filling and packaging technology, raw materials/ingredients, process automation, energy management, PET technology as well as catering supplies, sales promotion and marketing.

Integrated trade fair for wine technology

The trade fair is growing not only in terms of exhibitors, but also in terms of occupied space to over 150,000 m². This is partly due to the integration of SIMEI, the trade fair for wine technology, in Halls C2 and C3. Hall C1 is shared by drinktec and the concurrent 'oils+fats' trade fair for the oil and fats industry. 50 exhibitors will be presenting systems, components and auxiliaries for the production and processing of edible oils, fats and lubricants.

In addition, 'PRO FachHandel', the leading trade fair for the entire German beverage and convenience trade, will take place at drinktec for the first time. It will occupy Hall B0 and the foyer of the International Congress Center (ICM).

In addition to the exhibitors' presentations, drinktec offers conferences and forums, special shows and networking platforms, competitions and awards. For example, the drinktec Forum in Hall A2 will be taking place for the fifth time: experts from research and practice will present ideas and practical solutions on topics such as process technology and safe beverages, new raw materials and Industry 4.0.
