Good news from the robotics industry: The International Federation of Robotics (IFR) announced new record figures for the 2015 financial year at Automatica: 248,000 units sold represent an increase of 12% compared to the previous year.

With a new record of 248,000 units sold, the global automation boom that began after the economic crisis in 2009 is continuing. Since then, sales figures for industrial robots have more than quadrupled (2009: 60,000 units).
