Autonomous feeding of packaging machines with raw components: The project of the finalist team 'Timairis' is working on a simplified solution to the problem of feeding raw components. This includes a prototype for a raw parts magazine, the mechanism that feeds the raw parts into the packaging machine and two pallets loaded with existing raw parts magazines currently in industrial use. The task was to recognize the stacks of body shell parts on two different pallets, determine a plan for gripping and transport them to the body shell magazine and place them there. The workplace is to be shared with humans. Therefore, the robot's safety measures must always be active. In addition, multimodal human-robot interaction is used to improve task monitoring.
