Fully automated pick and place processes

The 'Hugo' picking robot from Nomagic's 'justPick' product line has been specially designed for fully automated picking on AutoStore systems.

The robot arm picks the ordered items from the source containers presented at the AutoStore ports (divided up to 8 times) and places them in different orientations in shipping cartons in a volume-optimized manner. These robot picking processes are made possible by an integrated AI vision system and software from Nomagic. The system can perform image processing in milliseconds, determine the optimum gripping point with high accuracy for each relevant configuration and determine how even unknown objects are selected, scanned and optimally placed. By integrating a scanner into the robot solution, a wide variety of SKUs and barcode types can be captured simultaneously and included in the data processing with industry-standard performance metrics.
