Collaborative and compact
At the International Robotics Exhibition (iREX) 2017 in Tokyo, ABB presented a collaborative robot with one arm.
Just like the 'Yumi' robot, which was launched in 2015 for small parts assembly, the new robot has a payload of 500 g. Thanks to its compact size, it can be easily integrated into existing assembly lines. As the robot is equipped with lead-through programming, there is no need for special operator training.
