Telecontrol
Use in electrical distribution grids
Schneider Electric is expanding its portfolio of telecontrol devices with Easergy T300, a modular DIN rail-based monitoring and control device. It is real-time controlled and has been specially designed for use in electrical distribution networks.
The modules have operating and display components for the control units as well as a short-circuit and earth fault direction indicator. They enable the direct acquisition of analog measured values in the medium voltage (current, voltage), at the transformer (temperature) and in the low voltage (current). The telecontrol unit is configured via an integrated web server.
The unit offers various recording functions in real time, such as an event list, and enables the communicative - for example via Modbus or IEC 61850 - or conventional connection of other local devices. Control centers can be connected via various communication protocols such as IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 60870-5-101 via radio, wire, fiber optics and more. Analog measurement data is transmitted wirelessly to the head unit.
Fault direction detection is carried out according to the supplier's ICC method without the use of voltage transformers. The battery-buffered power supply unit 'PS50# enables the continued operation of a local network station even if the medium voltage fails completely.
