Huawei and GE Digital are now presenting their cloud-based solution for predictive industrial maintenance. As part of their partnership, the companies are integrating Huawei's 'Edge Computing IoT' with GE's 'Predix for the Industrial Internet' cloud platform. The aim is to create end-to-end connectivity between industrial equipment and cloud applications, enabling real-time machine health monitoring, data analytics and awareness, and intelligent maintenance of this equipment.

Huawei and GE announced their strategic partnership back in July 2016. This joint solution is the latest result of their collaboration in the field of Industrial IoT.

The solution for predictive industrial maintenance is now to be used by Schindler, a provider of elevators and escalators. This will enable Schindler to centrally connect and manage millions of its elevators and escalators worldwide. This should significantly reduce the maintenance costs of the installations and improve service reliability.
