With ProLink CMS, Schaeffler is launching a new generation of its multi-channel condition monitoring system, which is suitable for monitoring complete production plants in a wide range of industries.

The system requires no knowledge in the field of signal acquisition and vibration analysis. With the help of the intuitive configuration wizard, the customer only enters basic data on the components to be monitored via a web browser. Intelligent templates supplement all other component-specific information, for example for rolling bearings, motors and gearboxes, fans and pumps. During the self-learning test phase in operation, 'ProLink CMS' automatically defines the alarm thresholds for up to 100 operating points for each machine, depending on the speed and load. The system consists of a main processor module for signal processing and various signal acquisition modules, for example for vibration measurement with up to 16 measuring channels. OPC/UA and Profinet as well as CC-Link IE are supported. Further fieldbus protocols are to follow. Users can operate the condition monitoring system locally and connect it to their plant control system via the fieldbus. It is also possible to transmit the pre-processed sensor data to the Schaeffler service platform via MQTT for more specific analysis. In future, all of the provider's digital services will be available via this interface - for example the 'ConditionAnalyzer' or a classification of load spectra. 'ProLink CMS' serves as a universal gateway for connecting the sensor level with the control or management level right through to cloud applications.
