German companies seem to be aware of the benefits of predictive maintenance. Nevertheless, they are reluctant to implement it. This is confirmed by a recent survey conducted by the consulting firm BearingPoint.

Companies see the benefits of predictive maintenance primarily in increasing system availability and reducing maintenance costs. Every second company also sees it as an opportunity to retain customers through better service models.
