Suitable for remote maintenance

With the VisuNet GXP HMI system with the new RM Shell 4.1, Pepperl+Fuchs offers a thin client solution for applications in Zone 1/21. According to the manufacturer, the solution enables direct horizontal and vertical access to production system information.

In addition to communication within the production process, it is also possible to access the sensor across all hierarchy levels. The HMI system communicates with the process control system or the MES - which can also be located in the cloud - and enables the process plant to be controlled and monitored. The VisuNet GXP can also access sensors via a web browser for commissioning, configuration or maintenance purposes. Using the mechanisms of the VisuNet Control Center, administrators should be able to connect to any smart remote monitor with RM Shell 4.1. In this way, the user can also be supported remotely - for example, to rectify faults.
