Schaeffler acquires 100% of the shares in ECO-Adapt SAS. ECO-Adapt offers solutions for condition monitoring based on electrical signal analysis as well as systems for optimizing energy consumption. The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the transaction, which is expected to close in the first half of 2023. The closing is subject to the fulfillment of customary closing conditions.

With this acquisition, the automotive and industrial supplier is expanding the portfolio of its Industrial division in the area of Lifetime Solutions and strengthening its position in the field of digitally supported predictive maintenance. The Lifetime Solutions portfolio includes solutions and services for industrial maintenance over the entire service life of a machine - from heating and alignment tools to condition monitoring solutions and a large selection of lubricants and the appropriate automatic lubricators.

Above all, the ECO-Adapt portfolio is intended to complement existing Optime solutions with functions based on the diagnosis of electrical signals. Optime Condition Monitoring offers a solution for the predictive maintenance of industrial machinery based on signal analysis of vibration and temperature data. ECO-Adapt completes this offering by providing maintenance information based on the analysis of electrical signals, providing additional security against potential failures of electrical components. Operators have the advantage of being able to cover both mechanical and electrical problems with a holistic, predictive maintenance system. This is a significant step towards more sustainable machine operation.

ECO-Adapt also has a product range for optimizing energy consumption during operation. The product line offers multiphase meters to improve industrial submetering, with a fully cloud-based solution, including customized analytics and dashboards. Energy monitoring enables the optimization of energy demand and provides information to determine the optimal operating points of machines in the most energy-intensive industries, such as cement, steel, pulp and paper and many more.
