Quickly connected to the process control system
The Visunet GXP from Pepperl+Fuchs is a smart HMI system for process automation. The user interface of the 'RM Shell 4.1' firmware replaces the Windows desktop and focuses on essential aspects of system setup.
According to the provider, this enables quick and easy integration and the connection to the process control system is established within a few minutes. The remote monitor can be configured using the auto-connect function so that it connects to a defined process control system computer after start-up. In the event of server failures or interruptions, a predefined backup connection can be established independently. Thanks to the additional 'Visunet Control Center' software, users can manage all HMI systems with RM Shell 4.1 from a central workstation. This means that there is no need to set up and maintain devices in the field or enter hazardous areas or clean rooms. Instead, the remote monitors are accessed from a central location. The Visunet Control Center can be used to create connection profiles for a remote monitor and transfer them to other devices. Firmware updates are also carried out with a single click, saving time. In addition, users can connect to each remote monitor with the firmware, monitor the status, support users in the field or take control remotely.
