New competition for the iMac?
The startup Modinice is launching a newly designed office PC on the market. The all-in-one computer requires only one cable, is easy to retrofit and can carry up to two monitors. Series production has already started and two distributors are already on board.
Fancy Apple computers are usually only found in creative work environments. In most offices, however, there are still classic office PCs whose design has changed little over the last twenty years. Mike Finckh, Managing Director of Conecpt International, therefore wanted to develop an office computer that combines design with the practical requirements of modern office PCs. Together with two industrial designers from Munich, he designed the 'Modinice M1'.
Finckh deliberately opted for a Windows system for use in companies: "More than 90 percent of all PCs in the office environment run on Windows, as most ERP, production, service and finance programs are based on it. We want to ensure broad usability." However, the Modinice PC is also available without an operating system so that Linux or an existing Windows license can be installed on it.
Marketing and distribution via crowdinvesting
Finckh has founded its own start-up to market the Modinice. The test phase with customers and multipliers has already been successfully completed and series production has started. According to Finckh, the PC will be sold via the distributor Also. In order to successfully position the Modinice on the market, Finckh has launched crowd funding on the crowd investing platform Companisto. The crowd's investment will be used for marketing and sales.
