The wearable has been specially developed for use in hazardous areas to enable troubleshooting in plants via remote expert guidance, virtual training and for e-workers using Field Services Management (FSM) or Inspection Data Management Systems (IDMS). It is powered by a chipset with an integrated AI engine. The platform forms the basis for RealWear's broader AI Core Vision for frontline workers. The 'Navigator Z1' features voice control that enables completely hands-free operation at up to 100 dBA - an important feature for noisy working environments in the oil and gas industry. The modular design of the device offers numerous expansion options such as an IS-certified thermal imaging camera and a replaceable battery.

Key applications for the Navigator Z1 include remote support and training by experts, field service management (FSM) and plant and site inspection.
