A 1.8 GHz quad-core processor (i.MX8M Plus from NXP) with integrated video and graphics processor for 3D rendering, a high-res optically bonded display and modifiable Yocto Linux OS are among the main features of the intelligent display. According to Demmel products, intuitive and high-performance user interfaces - similar to a smartphone - can be developed. In addition, the display has a slim shape, even though it has a fully-fledged and modifiable operating system. This helps both in terms of design and where space is limited. External communication can take place via USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI and I/Os.

The 'iLCD-F' series has also been further developed and is fully compatible with the previous product line. The F series works with a 528 MHz processor generation, which offers significantly higher performance.
