For Multi-Monitor-optimized Production Processes

R. Stahl offers two methods when companies need a solution with multiple screens: Dual Monitor or Shared Keyboard.

In modern production and administration environments, companies often work with different systems in parallel - for example for order management, production control and process monitoring. The need for on-site information is increasing and more and more often a screen is not enough. The choice of a suitable solution depends on whether there are separate IP networks and whether these can then be connected to one end device on different ports. This depends on the respective security concepts for networks in the company. R. Stahl therefore offers two methods.

If the IT guidelines allow two networks to be connected in one device, the multi-monitor solution from R. Stahl is the ideal solution. At its heart is a direct monitor for hazardous areas in zones 1, 2, 21 and 22, which is connected to a thin client via USB. The solution makes it possible to display different applications on separate monitors, just as you are used to from your office PC with two monitors.

If IT guidelines prohibit the connection of two networks in one device, the shared keyboard solution is available. Here, the solution is based on two thin clients on which the respective application runs separately from the other without the networks being connected. However, both thin clients share a keyboard and a mouse instrument. The user can switch flexibly between the systems while the focus is automatically set on the active application - similar to conventional desktop systems. The technology is independent of automation and management systems and can be used universally.
