With the RX130 group, which includes 38 microcontrollers (MCUs), Renesas Electronics is expanding flash memory capacities to 256 Kbytes, 384 Kbytes and 512 Kbytes and package sizes up to 100 pins to achieve higher performance and compatibility with the "RX231/RX230" touch MCU group. The ultra-low-power "RX130" group offers higher response speed and functionality for touch-based home appliances and building and industrial automation applications that require a 3V or 5V system and low power consumption, according to the supplier. The 32-bit MCUs include a capacitive touch IP with improved sensitivity and stability as well as a comprehensive evaluation environment. The MCU group complies with the IEC/UL 60730 safety standard for consumer electronics and offers a range of integrated hardware elements for functional safety.
